Hi,
Has anyone had one of these for any length of time and care to share their likes and dislikes?
I need a "portable" replacement that will run impact, ratchets, cut-off wheel etc. and don't have that much to spend.
(I) think an oil compressor has more longevity, or at least it use to.

Thanks.

Contemplating buying one at HF, but not the oil-less ones. I think it's 149$ but I'm looking to do hvlp painting to a car.

Got this one a few months ago.

Fired it up, set regulator to 90 psi, hooked up 25' 3/8 hose and 1/2 impact. It would barely move a lug bolt at 90 ft lbs.

Some head scratching but ended up getting a Husky "High Flow" regulator at HD and Milton V hose fittings on everything. Works fine now. Texton USA rubber hose.

Because the motor/compressor mount is in the way, you can't twist on a regulator with a tall knob so I had to add that 1/4 brass pipe to extend the regulator beyond the edge of the mount. After you take that plastic cover off the motor.

Solberg intake filter reduces the noise, some.

Do you like waiting around for tanks to fill?

I had one for several years. Even with just using an impact, it ran a lot more than I liked. Plus, it was really, really loud. My newer IR that replaced it is so much easier on my ears.

it holds air and compresses but it lacks power to knock bolts loose for some reason. Probably has to do with small fittings necking it down some. The one thing I hate (hate hate hate) about this unit is it is noisy as all heck. Right now I am in an apartment with an attached garage and I have a second garage next to my attached garage. I put the thing in there in order to keep the noise out of my main garage and I just snake a hose under the door when I am working in the other one. I just drop a 2x4 on the ground and lower the garage door manually to keep the noise at bay.

I have had great luck with mine. I broke mine in by running it for half and hour then changed the oil. Then ran it for another half hour and changed the oil again. Now I change it twice a year. Have had this compressor for 3 years now. Paid 50 dollars for it at harbor freight. Was a returned item.

I've had mine about 2 years, no real problems until recently other than the noise. It's started to develop a leak that is draining the tank pretty quickly but I just havent taken the time to address it, mostly because I've just been hiding from the weather. Also I am anxiously waiting for my house to be finished so I can move in and once I do that my plan is to buy a larger and better suited compressor for grinding, sanding, sand blasting, etc etc.... Not sure what I will do with the HF unit. Probably find the leak, fix it, and sell it.

Also, I have been using mine with an aux tank that is about 30 gallons and it has never had an issue filling both tanks, even from dead empty. I just usually put on some over ear protection when it's going, lol.
