Thing about HF is they put an inflated price on something and perpetually keep it on sale.

That said, it is apparently a very popular press and I'll likely get one for myself.

Who knows?
Got mine yesterday for $112 out the door.

.......Of course, when I bought it Friday for $149, brought it home and realized box 1 of 2 was actually a 2-ton shop crane, I took it back (60 miles) and they gave me a further 25% off! BOOYAH!

The 20 ton goes this low once a year at this time. I missed it last year but got one of the new gray ones this time around.

With the 25% off coupon it ended up being just over $120 out the door. Now I can finally start changing out all the rotten bushings on every car I own.

My store won't let you but a lot of others on here have had good luck doing it. It's worth a shot, worse they can say is no.

Wow, your store won't let you use coupons on the press, or on sale items all together? I thought their policy was just not on tool boxes or generators.

At my Harbor Freight if the coupon scans, game on. Their computers are programmed to not apply the discount when not allowed and to apply when it's good.

It works pretty good. I used it to press in some bushings on my 63 bug. It is so handy, I never really noticed how often I picked up a hammer and a big socket...it is nice to do it the right way.

One of the stores by me tried getting greedy with the coupons. I wanted to use the 25% off on the motorcycle lift table when it went on sale for 269.99 they said no. I just took in a printout of the item in my cart and the coupon applied and they matched it.

If it's discounted already than no coupon.

Man that really *****. I purposely wait until things go on sale and then use a coupon on top of it. The only sales I've found that won't let you add a coupon is when things are on sale with your "Inside Track Club" card. They almost always equal out to the sale price minus 20-25% anyway.

Same policy at my HF stores. I bought the gray #60603 20 ton press about 3 months ago for 149.99 - they wouldn't accept another coupon.

Another coupon yes. A discounted price no.

Harbor Freight will not accept a 20/25% off coupon if you use a coupon to get the price to $154.99 but if the sale price is $154.99 then they will. Just think of it as a one coupon per item rule.

I bought one a few years ago and got it all set up. After using it a few times I knew I had to make a modification. I replaced the 20 ton hydraulic ram with a 20 ton air/hydraulic ram and that made a world of difference. You won't be sorry.

Well worth the chang over.

Not necessarily correct.

If it's a SuperCoupon that gets it to that price, then no. Also won't work if it's a Parking Lot Sale price. If it's on SALE that gets it to that price, then yes

The best way to tell if it will work is to put the item in your cart, then apply the coupon. If it works there, you're golden!

Finally, if you've had problems with your store not honoring the coupons ( I haven't, btw ) print out your page with the coupon applied and take it with you. Harbar Freight corporate is a liitle psycho sometimes with coupons, and some Managers/Cashiers are uninformed or misinformed. The printout will set you freeeee...... and set them straight.

My store will not let you use the 20% coupon unless it is at regular price. The even get an attitude when you want your free flash light if you got the coupon.

If I were you, I'd totally call them out on their bs.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't Harbor Freights policies universal throughout all stores? One store doesn't have the right to make up their own rules...do they?

Obviously not or else these questions about which and how many coupons they will accept would not constantly keep coming up.

Just fyi to GJers. I just bought the press. $199.99 on sale and used a 25% coupon. Brought down to $16x, after taxes. Now to put it together and start pressing stuff!

Wrong. I only buy from Harbor Freight when an item is on sale AND I have a 25% off coupon. The 25% off coupon that I keep in a tab on my phone is good until 9/13/14.

Are you positive? It wasn't just a confused/new cashier? This is the first time I've ever heard of a HF not accepting a 20/25% coupon off of a "sale" price. That's not a good sign if they're going that direction.

Hell, at any given time 90% of the items in the store are on "sale". I'm not sure what you'd actually be able to use the coupon on :dunno:

I will preface this by saying I pick 25% off coupons with high success rates:

So far, only one time has a coupon not been successful. It was when I tried to use a coupon on a parking lot sale price. Sure as ****, it was in the small print of the coupon.

Let me reword that, if it's in there monthly flyer thing than you can't add a coupon. Been like this since day one.:dunno:

The policy seems to me to be inconsistent from store to store and even on different occasions at the same store. It may be our incomplete understanding of their policies, or it may be that store personnel have some discretion. I have a feeling things are going to get more consistent as their computer systems get more sophisticated.
I got the 20T press a few years ago and stacked a 25% coupon on a sale price; $120 total - no problem, smiles all around.
Good press for my occasional use. EASY pressing ball joints. Much more convenient to use since I put it on casters!
