I was going to go this weekend, but I found out today that next week due to the holiday weekend we will be closed 3 days again at work, so there went that idea. Days off are nice, but it really screws what little pay I do get, so I can't spend any money for the next few weeks. Never fails anytime there's something that comes up that I'd like to go do I get screwed by my work.

I picked up one of the infamous HF 44" tool boxes for $359. Not exactly a cheap tool box, but cheap is a relative term when there are $2000 boxes on the market.

They actually are really nice tool boxes. I've had mine for what seems like forever (10 years) and it sits outside on the carport in all sorts of weather. I don't roll it around very much at all, but it holds a lot of stuff, well most stuff anyhow, the drawers aren't deep enough for a few of my Dewalt tools, but for the most part it works great for a $400 tool chest. I also have the top chest for mine as well.

Bah... I had planned on going down there today but noooooooo... woke up with left side of my face swollen like a melon. By the time I was finished with doctors and what not it was too late. First time I've ever had stopped up saliva glands... had no idea. I still look like someone kicked me in the head AND missed out on the sale for 2 44" boxes and a cycle lift.

Grrrrrrrrrrr

I went Saturday. Saw a welding cart with drawers on sale for $169. Off in the corner, there was one assembled and marked down as a managers special. The drawers were crooked and sloped to one side like the rails were at different heights. I offered him $90 for it and took it home. I figured I could give the orphan a little love and make it nice.

Post a pic when you get it fixed. Sounds to me like someone at the store just half *** put it together, I've noticed they do that with a lot of stuff in the stores for displays, they just don't bother putting things together properly, so it looks all screwed up to the customer...as well as those who don't know any better.

Problem I see with all these "sales" is the sales price actually comes out higher than if you went in with a 20% off coupon and bought the same item. Example the tri-fold ramp (under multiple different item numbers 60334 being one of them) is $99.99 normally, I found a regular coupon that takes it to a sale price of $89.99 ($10 off). My 20% off coupon brings it from $99.99 to $79.99. If you find a 25% off coupon by chance that will drop it to $74.99. So be careful of the "sales" sometimes they really aren't what you think. Do some looking around first sometimes you will find the same item inside the store cheaper .

I almost bought one of those welding carts a few weeks ago, but I refrained I just bought the cheaper one with the shelves instead of drawers, it works just fine for my limited use of my welder.

The thing I like most about the 3 day sales is they have stuff in stock in larger numbers than normal, so I can pick something up without wasting two or three trips to find they are out of stock.

I'd love to get a top box for my 44". but it is the old crinkle finish and I don't want to look at the mismatched paint all the time.

I went Saturday and bought a compressor then took it back Sunday cause it didn't work. Manager said to keep checking back on Thursdays to see if they have a replacement yet I passed on that and got my money back. Waste of 3 days if you ask me cause like someone posted above the prices are higher than normal.
