Anyone have any experience with the harbor freight grinder thats on sale for $9.99? I have one of the older orange ones and that thing has held up forever. I'm assuming the black one for 9.99 is of a lesser quality ?

I don't know a definite answer, but the popular consensus is that the orange HF grinders are the best of the lot and the price usually reflects that.

I have one... I use it with a wire wheel attachment.

I don't think you would want to use it for constant use; it gets pretty hot after a few minutes of use.

For wire wheeling its great; and was only $10.00.

I use a red one grinding.

I only use mine with a wire wheel or surface conditioning discs now - it just doesn't have much power. I don't regret buying it at all, as it's always worked fine and is handy as hell for light duty work. You'll also want a more powerful grinder for heavier stuff though.
