HF 4 Drawer Cart Locking Mechanism

Hello all, I have searched and haven't found anything specific to the HF Black 4 drawer cart...I want to remove the locking mechanism, has anyone done it on this particular cart? Any help would be appreciated, pics if possible, but I'll appreciate any advice. Many thanks in advance.

Just pull the screws in the top compartment that hold the metal housings down and the whole rod / latter assembly slides up and out. You may need to disconnect the hinges for the lid to allow it to open more, don't remember if it will clear or not. Also make sure the drawers are out a little when you pull the assembly or the hooks will catch.
