Thanks to the info on this site I pulled the trigger on a HF 44" top and bottom box today. I had decided on the 52" Husky combo at Home Depot but after perusing this site for a couple of days I changed my mind. I had to drive past Lowes on my way so I stopped in and looked at the $1600 stainless Kobalt box I have been lusting after for years. I was shocked at how flimsy the drawer bottoms and slides felt once I start really poking around.
My question about the HF combo is are the holes in the bottom of the top and the top of the bottom supposed to lineup? I definitely wanted to bolt the boxes together but there is no way the holes would line up. I wound up just drilling 4 holes but was curious as to the purpose of the pre-drilled holes if it wasn't to bolt the boxes together.
This damned site is going to cost me $$$.
