I was going to buy some wrench racks when it occurred to me that I could very easily make ones from some 2X4 scraps I had around.

I was cutting the notches straight when I realized, hey, I'm using a miter saw, so I started cutting the notches at 20° for the last one.

This is the top drawer where I'm keeping the SAE wrenches.

Very cool! I'm going to make some!
Some black paint and they will look like they were made for your box!
Maybe some magnetic strips on the bottom?

They sent an email. Likely would think they will update website in day or so. The online code for it is 67011101

Open and inspect before you leave the store. Because loading it, driving it home, unloading it, unpacking it and then discovering an issue is zero fun. #voiceofexperieince

Can you use the coupon code in store? Because when ordering it online, there is not an in-store pickup option and the high cost of shipping negates the coupon savings.

I want one of these so bad...this is very tempting!

I have a MAC box with a HF 44" topper on it and two 5-drawer HF roll carts. I could use a new box to replace the roll carts and have the proper one to put the 44" top box on. It would also free up clutter in my MAC box...

Hmmmm.....

The E-mail I received today states the sale price has only been extended until Sunday Dec 2.

I will say when I picked up two 44" boxes last Friday that the first one had a thin wooden pallet on the bottom. When I returned for the second box they were rolling it. The thin bottom pallet was missing. I was concerned enough that I mentioned it to the store manager (just in case so he would remember it) who was helping us load my truck. He stated that it's not unusual to have the bottom pallet damaged, and then removed. I checked them both at home right away. Both were packed really good, and neither had any issues.

Does this box go on sale any other time of year? I really could use 2 of them but money is a bit tight this time of year buying for others.

There seems to be coupons for this box ~every other month for $449, but it has never been this low ($399) to my knowledge.

Above is 44" for $429 till 2/8/19. Have never seen before this Black Friday at $399 but doesn't mean they won't start to discount it more going forward. Harbor Freight Coupon Database website is a great place to see the price history on items.

The Black Friday sale has indeed been extended until Dec 2 with the 44" at $399.
It's right on the Harbor freight web page showing the Black Friday sales.

I dropped the Montezuma top box on my HF 44"

I like that it has plenty of room for sockets, wrenches, screwdrivers etc and keeps all your primary tools right at your fingertips- no squirreled away in a drawer. Easy to see if something is missing too.

I picked mine up earlier in the week. The only thing I've noticed is that my drawers don't fully extend like the demo box's did. Has anyone else come across this?

Just ran out to the garage and checked mine.
When I pull the drawer(s) out to the stop the rear of the drawer is approx. 1" behind the front of the cabinet.

I bought two 44" boxes and they both act the same.

My drawers, when open extend to the edge of the bit of sheet metal that's bent over at 90° if that's easy to understand.

Does anyone else's box have "Series 2" on the right side like the one in the picture? Mine does not.

Same here with my blue #64446. I guess they're 90% full extension drawers:)

^^^My blue 44 does not extend that far out. The demo in the store did, however.

Three different item numbers = three different factories. There are probably more differences than you’ll ever know of without comparing all three side by side. My purchase of two HF black 56” boxes with different numbers are proof of that.

If you have more than one store in your area, your best bet is to know the iitem number of the box that you want, locate a store that has that number in stock, and do an even exchange. This is what I had to do with one of my black 56’s to have them the same. If you ony have one store, your options may be limited. It’s my understandng that the stores don’t have control on what is delivered to them. Corporate sends them whatever they choose.

i picked mine up Friday (literally) I was there when the store opened and there were no trained staff to operate the forklift. So two employees got it on on of their lift tables and we loaded in into the back of the truck. Got it home and unloaded it onto my HF motorcycle lift and lowered it to the ground.

It's in it's new home and looks awesome. No Series II badges and about 95% extension drawers.

Now I just have to wait for the top half to go on sidewalk sale or something similar.

Got my settlement cards and of course it’s no longer on sale. Anyone got any idea how often the price drops like Black Friday?
