Can you put a side locker on both ends of the 44 inch box, I've seen pictures with them done this way. Just seeing if anybody has any input

Yes you can, but I've heard that there can be issues with reversing the door. You may need to add a magnet.

That's what I wondering. What's all involved with reversing the door?

I don't have the side cabinet, but IIRC what others have posted, you need to remove the door (unscrew the bolts) and flip it over. This puts the bumper for the drawers on top. You'll have to glue some new bumpers on the bottom, or figure out how to reuse the old one.

The thing with the magnet is an issue that occurs even when using the cabinet on the correct side. Apparently there is no catch when the door is unlocked. Members have added a magnet to keep the door closed when they don't want to lock the door.

You'll need to search the site for the posts to find the members that have actual experience with this.

Interesting I was wondering about the same idea...rather not having double cabinets, but being able to mount it on either side of the chest...it would make sense being able to mount the cabinet or the drawer unit for that matter on either side of the chest.

I've had my roller chest and top chest for about 10 years, they sit outside on my carport all year round, its held up great, and I'd love to add more storage space so I'm thinking about getting the end cabinet and the end drawer unit here really soon.

Just throwing this out there...adding side boxes makes it unstable to move the cabinet. I have a single side cab on my 26" at work and it's tippy when trying to roll, and the turning radius is not what you expect.
I'll be swapping my HF 44 for that as soon as I can clear enough room in the shop for it.
