HF 5 drawer cart lid removal.

Hi All,

Does anyone know if it's possible to remove the lid from the new 5 drawer cart? I'd like to spray it with bed liner, but it looks like the pin that attaches it is completely enclosed.

Anyone have one they could take a look at the hinge? I just looked briefly at the store.

The hinge is basicaly a piano type hinge. it is welded to the top lid and attached to the box with 8 rivets. drill out the rivets for lid removal. are you wanting to spray just the top of the lid itself? I have seen this done but don't believe the lid was removed ( just mask off the hinge so it dosen't get coated and clogged )

grind off the two ends of the piano hinge and tap ot the pin.
