HF 5 drawer mechanic's cart differences?

I'm on hold with HF Parts to get 2 more swivel casters to get rid of the fixed casters on my 5 drawer HF mechanic's cart.

I found out there's apparently 3 part numbers, and the parts are apparently different on them? 64030 / 64032 / 64033. I've got the 64030 - but now I'm wondering what the differences are between the 3. Anyone happen to know?

I don't know but recently I have had a wheel/caster come apart on my 5 drawer tool cart. Love the cart but was surprised and I have not read anyone else reporting this either.

I will be watching your thread to see what part number I need to order. But with the failure I am thinking maybe get a non Harbor Freight caster?

Yep, HF sometimes sells identical items under different parts numbers.

No I used the original holes and hardware.

Any caster setup for 5x2 should work. Check out the modifications thread there are tons of people using different casters.

I did find the part numbers for the 5 drawer cart casters.
#19074 - Fixed - $12.01
#19068 - Swivel - $15.08

I found them by looking up which tool box I had and HF has an on-line owners manual that lists parts with numbers. Not sure where to buy them as a search on HF did not show them. Sent an E-mail to HF asking this question. Nothing back yet.

I wonder if there are noticeable differences in the part numbers like there are on other hf item. The 20 ton press and the mower lift both have different sku numbers available and there are differences between them

Many of HF items have multiple sku numbers. Most of the time I never notice a difference but there are times I have. I always assumed the different skus are from different manufacturers.

As for the 5-drawer carts, the gen 2, I don't know what the differences are but I have noticed this difference in them. Sheet metal where the lid shocks mount on the bottom are different. Not sure if the gas shocks are different length between these 2 types.

My gen 2 cart is the black one below. I also have a gen 1 5-drawer cart & it too had different skus.

On the two I have the yellow the drawers are a lot smoother. On the black and red one the manager let me make one cart out of the 3 that I returned because of broken or damaged parts. Some of the parts the fit and finish were poor.
