Has anyone with the 56" combo(top and bottom) used the locker for the 44" on this? I really want the 56" combo but would really like the locker for all my diagnostic stuff that are in cases. So will it fit? anyone have pics of it?

You'll have to drill extra holes in it. The holes in the locker are meant for the 44". The 56" as you probably know is about 4 inches deeper. As ling as the locker is 16.25 inches deep, it could work. Which I'm sure it is as the 44" is 18" deep.

Holes? Looked at it at HF and it was only hooked on the edge. I was wondering if there is enough lip on the 56 to allow the locker to hook to it.

You'll still want to bolt it to the box. It isn't a good idea to support all that weight on just the hooks. It will hold for a while, but eventually the hooks will begin to fatigue. The bolts help to carry the load, and keep the locker from swinging on the side when the box is moved.

I didn't know that. But there really isn't a usable lip on the 56" stack as the top sits on the perimiter of the bottom box.

Also are there extra shelves available for the locker? I searched and came up with nothing. If there is does anyone have an item number for it. I think the HF site is as bad to search as this one

Looks Like it will cost me $1079 for the 44" top, bottom, end cab and locker. Or $1199 for the 56" top and bottom. I like the deeper drawers on the 56" but think the locker with the 44" combo with the end cab will be a better option because all my stuff in cases and even all my drills can go in there. Leaving a ton of room for all the other stuff

Yes you can get extra shelves for the locker. I highly recommend getting the 56" combo. The extra space is amazing. Then still put the locker on it. The entire left bank on the 56" has 37" wide by 19.25 fee drawers.

Either way, you can't go wrong. But after having the kobalt box, I just think that after a while the 44" will seem too small and shallow. :dunno:

You could always notch the bottom of the top box to avoid the hooks. It shouldn't matter much, the hooks are less than 1/8" so it wouldn't ride too high on that side anyways.

Or, remove the hooks and use 3 bolts on top and 2 on the bottom to carry the weight.

When there's a will, there's a way. :D

I hung the locker on my 56, it was secured well enough by just the lip, however the finish was very different, and it looked very out of place. Better off just buying a stand alone locker IMO.

The 56" is a much much much nicer box then the 44"

I have a 56" roller...

And I love it!!!

It doesn't seem like it, but it "uses" a bunch bigger than the 44"....

Do you have a link or a part number? I asked the guy at HF last time I was there and he told me to just make them because they are not available

Sorry I don't. But I do remember reading that they are available on here. Worse case scenario, when you buy it look at the parts list for the locker, then call to see how much they are.
