Shouldn't have any issue with it, they aren't really torqued on too hard.

I have the lisle version. Works fine. I'd like to pick up the Mayhew but it's more expensive. 9/10 I just use large channel locks. You can turn the rack all the way to either side and can usually get a good bite on it.

Before that I used an air hammer with a long chisel

I had to buy the "Large" Lisle inner tie rod tool to fit over the joint to reach the hex on the only Expedition I've done. That's what I found out was needed after googling the issue and finding out I was not the only one who found out that the HF set (or the normal-size Lisle) wouldn't fit over it.

Edit: Have also ran into Rangers where the HF tool fit to get the oem inner tie rod off but wouldn't fit over the Moog replacement & needed the large Lisle to do them too.

Those times I use the one that looks like a large exhaust clamp with a 3/8 drive built in

Just a random thought but, depending on where you get your parts from, you could just use the loaner inner tie rod tool from the parts store. :dunno:
