I've been using a HF 7x12 band saw for about a dozen years and haven't had any problems that I couldn't easily solve. However the free wheel has started to really make lots of banging sounds. After removing the blade I found that there was noticeable wobble in the wheel. I removed that wheel to assess the bearings but found the wobble to be in the shaft. The shaft is solidly fixed in the Sliding Draw Block which is bolted to the Blade Tension Sliding Block which is captured by a pair of sliding guide plates. The slots in the guide plates hold the sliding block with no apparent slop but even with all bolts firm, the wobble persists. Your thoughts?
