For those others that have bought and assembled the table - did you have parts that did not match up with the parts list in the manual? I separated the different size bolts, nuts and washers and realized there was no way this matched the manual parts list. I then hand tightened the fasteners per the instructions just waiting to see where I would run into problems. I had to un-install the washers I originally used under the table that were used as spacers between the underside and the brackets - when I realized they were the only option to use for the side mounted guides on the table edges. Fortunately, the only things left over were 2 bolts of a unique size not used elsewhere as well as 2 washers. It was slightly frustrating though.

You are correct ... instructions ****, the large loose washers go around the table counter sinks between the table and the braces, the small loose washes are for the flag bolts that go with the flag bolts that hold the side fences on, there are two bolts that go into your loose bolts bucket.

I replaced all of the washers with more robust ones from me loose washers bucket.

Even after the hassle I thought it was worth the $45 I paid for them.

Well I drove 90 miles to my near-by H.F. store to look at the welding table. I was not impressed with it even at the price. I went ahead and ordered the Miller Workstation folding welding table. Got it with 2 clamps for $325. It supports 500 lbs. and I like the way the clamps work.

I've checked my local HF several times for this table. Never had one in store. sales person said they haven't had one in over a month and not sure if/when they will get another.

I ordered one online and paid $6 shipping. Best move i made this week!

Just received the latest HF flyer in the mail and they raised the price to $79.99, up $20. Just checked the HF on-line price and it was still at $59.99.

You gotta wonder if HF lurks in these forums (not just this one) to judge what items are popular and then jacks the prices up on those that are talked about.

Sometimes it is difficult to figure out how they set their prices. You'll see a item like this, with a higher price then they'll have their catalogs come out with a lower price. They'll play this game off and on for a long time, plus they'll give you a 20% or 25% off coupon.

I would imagine that they'll raise the price when they see the sales numbers go up. On this item, they bumped the price $20.

I have looked at that unit at HF and I'll probably get one too. I will happily report back on my experience with this item, although I realize I couldn't possibly be as accurate as some of the guys on here who have never seen them or used them but know all about them anyway and have deemed them junk.

That's part of the adventure of buying HF; which some people would consider their stuff as a kit.;)

I had some extra long bolts and few extra pieces. I had to go to my bolt selection to find correct size bolts to hold a cross brace plus some extra washers.

I consider HF stuff a base point to modify to my use. I don't feel bad about immediately cutting up and welding it into what I want or need.

"Would you like the extended warranty on those two engine stands?"

"No, because in about 20 minutes, they won't be engine stands anymore."

After a month, still liking my $45 'multi use adjustable table'

Used it to weld 2 projects so far with success.... my welds improve when I'm not trying to squat and weld on my brick New Orleans style (it has character-- i.e. uneven as hell) patio.

Used it 3 times as a chop saw stand, and another time to clamp wooden pieces I was routering the edge on with the trim router.

Now, for the bad.

As I feared... one of the plastic yellow handles for tilt adjustment has stripped out. Called the number, and Harbor freight said return the unit to the store.... I don't want to disassemble the whole thing and drag it to the store, can someone suggest (in detail, because I'm a welding n00b) how to fix this..... surely there must be some kind of inexpensive metal handle I could weld to the adjustment nut..... right?

It's just a bolt with a yellow plastic handle so that you can tighten it by hand. You can weld a short piece of bar stock to the head of the bolt or buy something like this from your local hardware store (in the right size):

I need to go to Elliot's Hardware, made the mistake of going big-box store tonight. I figured a knob like this should be relatively standard, so I asked the guy in the Hardware department of Lowes tonight for a knob with a M8x 50mm bolt and he didn't have a clue. I think I'll just weld a 2" piece of flat stock to the nut like you suggested..... Free!!

I am waiting for the elusive welding table.
Went to thee store at the end of April, they had a display model and no stock. I got a rain check for the great price of $59.
I have called back every week, on Wednesday, when the truck arrives - none in stock yet.
Got the new HF flyer for June today. Guess what is featured on sale for $79? I am anxious to see if the get a shipment this week - so I can make good on the raincheck.:bounce:

So - I went to HF today to see if the newly advertise welding table was in stock ....... and.......
NO!
talked to the manager and he said it is hard for them to get them. They showed a total of 440 units in the distribution center - for the whole USA - 500 stores. He said they are lucky if they get 1 a month right now. Also there are 3300 units on the boat headed this way. When they will get here and how they will be divided up , who knows? :headscrat

Bringing this back - got a coupon for $59 and couldn't stand it:

Haven't done anything but assemble it, but I think it'll work well enough. I have some scrap 3/4 ply and plan to cut a piece to sit on top so it'll double as a small work table. They had 3 in stock locally. I just had to dig one out from under a bunch of other stuff piled under a display bench. Need to go back and re-read the posts on the washers LOL. I did use some 1/4 washers under the thumb screws for the fences, otherwise, the rest of the hardware seemed decent. My only "issue" is that it tends to point out every area where my floor isn't as flat as I'd like. I may get some small adjustable feet at Lowes to mod the table, just to work with my floor. It's about 1" shorter than my steel work table, so a little more height couldn't hurt.

I've used the tar out of mine Chris. Pretty happy with it for what it is. I think it's one of Harbor Freight's home runs.

Yea I have it too. I mean its no replacement for a $10k acorn table but for small stuff like brackets and ****, its better than welding it on the floor.

My update-
I finally snagged one on July 3rd.
I went to the welding machine area - didn't see any! Started looking around and under one of the display table, back out of view - was my prize! Fished it out took it to the cashier. The manager saw me smiled and said " Final got one?"
I think it might of been the only one they had at the time

Kind of an old thread, but just saw it and wanted to throw in my two cents. Bought two of these earlier this year and am very pleased. They're super easy to lug around and use as a work surface anywhere, for a lot more than welding. I've placed them side by side and clamped them together with vise grips for a larger work surface. Really like the fold up storage too, since I have very little space to work with.
Used a 20% coupon while they were priced at 59.99 and got out for two right at $100.

I just picked one up yesterday with a current coupon specifically for this @ $59.99. It was in their last email.
I have an old plywood shelf (3 ft x 4ft about 25 inches high) that I used in my work van for double decker storage. I use it for everything from a quick spray paint table, clamp lawn mower blades to grind, weld on it, etc, but it is ugly sitting outside my garage. It's going to the scrap pile. I now have the new one to use it for everything, it seems sturdy and folds up, probably weighs about .... 40 pounds?
Hmmm, can't download the coupon now, must have been good for only one.

I bought one the other day with a coupon. With the coupon, it is a good value table. There are some design and fit-and-finish issues, but for the price with coupon, the table seems to be a fair purchase. I bought it to avoid using my main work bench (a stainless steel former stadium Super Pretzel stand) for welding.

Some thoughts:

Tabletop
- A little thin and flexible for my taste, would love to see one out of 1/8 or 3/16
- sharp edges on some of the shear lines
- fasteners for tabletop were strangely small.
- big washers over the countersink seemed like an after thought.
-no washers for the nuts fastening the table top to the supports which have slots
- there was some interference between the two edge fences, but that's easily fixed by a grinder.
- fences were almost square, I measured 90.5 degrees.

Angle Adjustment mechanism
- plastic handles were a little hokey. I would probably order some new ones from Mcmaster Carr.
- not sure why they built it with two pieces when one stamping would be fine. This adds to some slop.
- the stepped washer setup is nice, but can get stuck sometimes. The adjustment isn't fluid.

Frame
- The folding legs have a sharp edge on the miter cut near the pivot point. Could stand to grind that down.
- The pivot points leave open some pinch points when setting up. Watch your fingers! HF could have stamped a bigger plate to protect that, while avoiding some 45 degree corner cuts on the plate.
- I am just shy of 6 feet tall, and the table feels a little short. A height adjustment would be nice, but would add to the price of this.
