HF air compressors....

I need to get me a new air compressor for my home shop and seen on YouTube that guys are buying the 29 gallon from HF.... Then I got to checking on the interweb and found they also have a 60 gallon....
So my question is "Anybody have either one of these and are they pretty good for a home shop where it's not gonna be used all day everyday like it would be in professional environment?

I have the 21 gallon version which is probably a level below those. I wanted the 29g but had a super coupon for $149 on the 21g. It's been a great compressor. I was hesitant to spend the $357 for a 29g. Figured I would try the cheap one first and see how happy I was. I should have just went bigger!

Mine is occasional home use, not a pro environment. Can't say how it would hold up to full time use.

i got the 60 put it in a rubbermaid shed outside my garage . i can barely hear it run and it works great for the 6 yrs i had it

I've got the 29...got it as an open box for $250. Works great for me (diy'er)

The 60 gallon unit is a pretty good unit and not an import. It is made by Atlas Copco in Rock Hill, SC. Although it does have some cost saving components, it has the same pump and motor as the BelAire and CP units

HF compressors are for typical home use, and not to be confused with

commercial compressors. For what you will be using it for, it won't

disappoint you...go for the biggest tank you can afford so that the

machine can rest between runs. (look for a duty cycle rating)

I've got the 29 gallon 150psi oiled unit and love it. Seems to be the best choice for typical automotive and home shop work. The baddest 120v unit you'll find. I don't need crazy cfm or a monster tank, nor do i care about 120 vs 240 except for the cost jump. I just wanted something that could give my impact wrenches full power and well rounded for everything else.

I've got nothing bad to say about it. Works great, not very loud. It's nice that even though it's a big beast it's still somewhat mobile.

the HF 60 gallon IS a belaire. the main guts anyway. its a cheaper tank, and the pressure switch and such is cheaper, but 699 vs 1199 for the belaire.
