I did a search and saw this was brought up 5-6 years ago, didn't see anything more recent.
Ingersoll Rands SK4C3F flip socket set looks eerily similar to HF's set #62491.. Thoughts? :dunno::beer:

Around $24 on Amazon, and $14.99 at Harbor Freight.

No.

Just because things look the same doesn't mean they are the same. They don't even look the same

It's a very common practice for Import manufacturers to copy prominate tools/brands and especially packaging in order to dupe American consumers, and to be completely honest sometimes they are the same OEM. The extension has some obvious differences between the two.

Either way, they're both from Taiwan. I doubt you can go wrong with either. I have the HF set and it has held up fine to daily use. Reviews on HF's site seem to reflect the experience I've had with them as they are highly rated. Don't forget your 20% off coupon if you go the hf route: hfqpdb.com

Yeah obvious differences. I have the HF set and they're junk. The fit is very poor.

Funny, my experience with mine is quite different than yours. I have them and they have worked great for me.

I don't like always needing an extension though just to put the socket on anything.

The quality of the HF set probably varies a lot, where as the actual brand they are probably all good except the rare dud, hence why the HF is so much cheaper.
FWIW I have the SK set.

Thats the one issue I can see with them. I'm debating picking a set up to keep in my trailering emergency tool box -- along with the grease gun, electrical stuff, etc.

I have a set similar to Tekton's. I'm sure most of the imported ones from Taiwan are about the same.. I have no bad words for mine. They work great for me, but I am not the person using them everyday so other people's opinions might be different.

I saw the HF flip socket a few months back and it was strange. it used to be something stupid like 21 and 17 instead of 21 and 19. So i never pulled the trigger on it. Now that its 21 and 19 as it shuold be. i may pick it up.

I have used the HF set with my impact and with the long HF breaker bar for several years with no issues. The breaker bar is holding up as well. I'd buy them both again.
