HF Blast Cabinet problems

I picked up the large HF blast cabinet. I followed all the suggestions on here regarding sealing it, etc. My problem is it shoots a lot of air, but the media is surging or not coming out very well. I have 60-70 feet of black iron, 5 moisture drops, inline filters, and my air is dry. My air comes from a 5 hp Ingersoll with 80 gallon tank. I think my problem is the siphon pickup. I believe it may be picking up too much. Any suggestions. This thing is driving me crazy. Ive tried all different pressures and nozzles.

Haven't had a problem with mine if the media is not clogging and not wet. If you still can't figure it out, I'd just buy another gun. They're pretty cheap.

Ok. Going to pick up a new gun tomorrow. Anyone had any experience with the Tractor Supply Gun? I figure it is the same Chinese ****, but any advice is welcome.

Yea..Most of the Tractor Supply blasting stuff is the same as HF, but at a higher price. Try it and return if not happy.

No luck with the Tractor Supply junk. First, bought the gun, and the siphon feed wasn't in the box, so I had to go back and get another one. Then hooked it up and same problems. Tomorrow Im going to try running some fresh black media and see if there is any difference. In the interim, Im just waiting on the TP Tools gun to show up. Also built a water bong for the shop vac, and it works well.

As an update on my own stupidity, it turns out that the part I was blasting had some plastix rubberized coating on it, and the new blaster was just having trouble getting it off. Threw a piece of steel with normal paint on and it works like magic.

Cooker,
I have a TIP 960 and I have always been disappointed with it's performance until a couple of months ago I bought their ********. Now the damn this is working like I always thought it should. I have three filters on the air line because I thought the air was wet but it was just the humidity here in NC that was causing my glass to clump.

Kick or beat on the Hopper while pulling the trigger. After the new media gets used a bit it usually will start working better. I will constantly nudge the Hopper while working just to get the Media to Settle for better flow.

The real answer to this is a little external Magnetic Mounted Vibrating unit attached to the Hopper. I have not done it but it needs to be done. Should be pretty simple.

However I really don't want to search for "********" on line. lol I am sure there are some stores in Seattle that could help me out!

edit: Link to this ******** you are talking about peterj? ^
