Is this coupon current? I don't want to drive 35 miles to HF to find out the coupon isn't valid.

Since it says "good through 2-28-18" right on it, I'm gonna guess not. You can find more coupons with Google I'm sure.

They bought these HF lights and supplied them at work. Judging by the responses here, I would think these were the best thing since sliced bread.

I'm less than impressed, the flex joint seems to be a weak spot. Like old flex head ratchets, they flop around. Switches seem to just do whatever they want, they don't always work as they should. When they do they are OK lights.

Just an FYI...

You can tighten that joint, all four of mine have a Philips-head screw which controls the tension in that joint. I've had to tighten two of mine, and now they're fine.

I have had three of them for both work and home. The all lasted a varying length of time and if you don’t mind buying a new one occasionally there are good, otherwise they don’t last and find them a total waste of money. Love the concept and wish I had one that worked well and reliable.

I gave up after my first one, because i recognized they were made for the home gamer. My co-worker has gone through 4, I think that's why the sales are high and inventory is low. People getting replacements:spit:

I know its not the same style of light, but if people aren’t happy with their HF model - i highly suggest giving the Neiko led light a shot if you don’t mind spending about $30. It’s a completely different light, i know.. But for the money they are very impressive. . I am extremely happy with mine. I have both the older and newer versions of the Neiko, and i have the HF light also.

Here’s the newer, more powerful Neiko for $32
Neiko 40339A Cordless Work Light, 700 Lumen COB LED Technology | Rechargeable USB Type Battery | Includes Swivel Hook and Magnetic Clip Attachments https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0786SDZ1K/?tag=atomicindus08-20

And here’s the now upgraded, less powerful, older version for $27. For the $5 difference, its worth getting the model above if you choose to try one of them.
Neiko 40464A Cordless LED Work Light, 350 Lumens, 5 Hours Run Time, 4,000 mAh Rechargeable Li-ion Battery, Multi- Purpose https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00WI9585I/?tag=atomicindus08-20

Hope that helps someone.

I have an Astro and 2 Brauns. Astro wins on durable design, Braun wins on usability. For commercial use, go Astro, but you'll need 2+ of them as the batteries aren't replaceable and take forever to charge. I don't use the Astro much since getting the Brauns. If they last me at least 2 yrs, limited home use, I'll be happy

There is also a HF ‘style’ cordless light on amazon, thats $20 for a 2 pack. The light bar is double hinged, so I’d imagine its a lot harder to break it off. I’m not recommending these, I don’t own one, i have no idea if they are great or they ****.. I’m just posting that i found these on amazon for $20 shipped for a 2 pack - and you have the choice of getting 2 large, 2 small or 1 large and 1 small model in a set.

2Pack COB LED Work Light YOUYOUTE USB Rechargeable Pocket LED Light COB 360°Rotate 5 Lighting Modes + Magnetic Base + Swivel Hook Water-Resistant Inspection Work Light Portable Light (2Pack (L+S)) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HSYJCYB/?tag=atomicindus08-20

The three we had all died. The last one lasting about 9 months, button switch stopped working.
We'll continue to buy 65SL's, we don't have time to be going back to stores for $20 items all the time. I can understand for a DIY though

I had an issue with my switch not working and got it figured out well enough to make the light work again: https://garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?p=7211877#post7211877 If this link doesn't go directly to it, look at post #365 in that thread.

My light is still working now with the taped over button.

Quick story: Left mine stuck to the bottom of my car trailer that a friend borrowed. He was 10 miles down the road when I called him. The light was still there!

I had the same experience. I am looking for a light that will last longer than 9 months of light use before breaking. Does anyone have a recommendation?
