Yea tried two locations and both were sold out.. there's others I CAN goto if I were desperate enough to try, but it's not like I don't have a dozen other worklights already.. if I happen to find another in store, maybe I'll pick it up.. my original order should be here soon though.

My stores been sold out of them for a while and I asked about restocks and they said they sell out as soon as they come in. I drove 45 minutes to the next closest HF to buy the two I have. It's a popular item. The tactical flashlights are also hard to keep in stock.

That's funny this post popped up...i as just watching the YouTube video with the best harbor freight items in it and this was one of them. I'm getting this light, the comfort handle long breaker bar and the Daytona jack they have!

That a lot, in my opinion for a floor jack......both of mine were like $50 each, one is a 3-1/2 ton and the other is a 3 ton

Both Craftsman, one bought used and one bough from a Sears Hardware store that was closing down

I think the daytona at 179 not bad because has 3yr warranty and from what seen of them seem pretty decent design and built .
cheapest jack I own is 100buck 2 1/4 jack (didn't have 3yr warranty) I must of had it 25yrs and besides 1 time needing bleeding and bit of fluid it never failed .
lot of jack options out there cheaper but for entry height and lift height be similar then prices start getting similar too .
Snapon price is crazy, 300bucks would be about right .

The Braun light on other hand is too cheap lol . grab one as truly superb for 20bucks

I'm going to wait till the newness wears off, besides it's a hour and a half to my nearest store and if they didn't have any I'd be a ticked off white man.....

I bought one last night when Wife asked to stop at Harbor Freight (!) on the way home.

Put a full charge on it this morning and I'm running a high-power test right now. 2:01 and counting....

Update: light got visibly dimmer after 2:00 hours. It turned off at about 2:35.

.

I threw the box out but that sounds about right for run time. Now test with a 20000 mAh power bank.

I use samsung 30Q cells in mine, I get whole day use in my auto shop from 2 batteries , I use 2 quite a bit mounted under hood almost like a hood light, handy having 2 good lights on a job and the quality/price real good, wondering how long button will last but overall sturdy and very very usable work light .

Hoping to pick a couple up this weekend, going to send one to my dad, he’s still using trouble lights with bulbs! Will use it in addition to my blue fuel and an atd Sabre light. Recently got the braun underhood light, impressed so far.

Sounds like I need to go pick one of these lights up...

Have used one in a professional setting, was not disappointed. Unit is not waterproof, so there is caution to be had regarding that. However, shortly after purchasing / using / demonstrating to co-workers, my entire side of the shop purchased at least one (sometimes two) per person to utilize on a new under-dash campaign. The compactness, flexibility of placement, and output makes it a perfect light. I am getting ready to purchase another for home, as is my brother.

Regarding the underhood light - the mounting system leaves a little to be desired but the output of the light is leaps and bounds better than the Luminar one that is similar. The LEDs are wide-angled so they disperse over a wide area, however there are some artifacts you get over quickly from the plastic tube. Coupons can be had for both as of this posting.

HF has a 25% off coupon good today and tomorrow. I have not read the fine print but I wonder if you can combine it with the $19.99 coupon that's available now.

Nope. Get a good magnifier and look at the fine print -- the 20% and 25% coupons specifically exclude all the new-ish "brand names" at HF, including Braun.

Still, it's well worth the measly $20.

The little LED at the tip is pretty useful for peering into holes -- the blade doesn't get in your way as much as a more traditional flashlight.

I did some interior work yesterday in a couple of cars, and found that you can just drop the light into a cupholder, adjust the angle of the emitter blade, and enjoy a stable, bright light source so you can actually see what you're doing for the first time ever.

Of course, there's also the disgusting feeling of seeing the carpet up close in good light and realizing that your vacuum technique is seriously lacking. :wtf:

the older I get for some reason there's never enough light. I just bought a Neiko light, but might try this one for 20.

18650 batteries are available on amazon and many other places. the light will break long before you wont find replacement batteries.

So they are a cheap imitation of the Astro light... Like everything else there is a catch (nothing is cheap). it cost someone

This thread wouldn't be complete without the typical mindless bashing of a product he hasn't even had his hands on

Its easy to cheapen a product somebody else paid the design costs for, but that is how the real world works.

Wife needed potatoes for dinner, so I volunteered to run to town and get them so I could swing in Harbor Freight and grab a light. Got it for $20 also and it does seem bright. I have it on the charger right now.

That looks like a really good deal. I just recently got the Astro 40SL Max and it's been one of the best tools I've purchased in a long time.

I picked one up today. The store I went to had a rack full of them. I think it's a great deal for $20. It's bright and seems well made. We'll see how it dies for the haul

Has anyone figured out how to take it apart yet? It seem like it should unscrew somewhere between the hinge and the power button. Mine doesn't budge, but I have not really tried all that hard yet.
