Check the recent Harbor Freight PASS/FAIL thread. One user lists them as an awesome PASS (in comparison to their manual ones). He put that same picture up, so it shouldn't be hard to find. I believe he said they were TOO easy to push and he found himself having to be careful he didn't go too fast. :lol_hitti

I went ahead and purchased 4. Will report again later after I use them. Were on sale for only $169 for 2. I had a 20% off coupon good for one item. So, I printed two coupons and purchased 2 from one store and 2 from another that was about a 25 minute drive away. Worth the big savings! So, all 4, $290 including tax! $145 basically each set of 2.

Love those 20% off deals.

Now, let's hope they work well.

Here are some unpacking and putting together pics. It was very easy. The box is rather heavy. Has two inside. You need to basically bolt it together. Rather easy setup.

Now, 3 more to go. Then will test them in next week or so.

Wheels look too chintzy for my taste. My bet is that the wheels are going to come apart the first crack that they hit in the concrete. Probably OK for light cars, but when you get to the 6000 pound mark, they will in all probability fail.

Fortunately, these will be moving around old German sheet metal. VWs that is, light weight. :)

Smooth surface and they should be fine, if not pretty generic looking wheels, replace them with some bigger and better ones.

They look good, but I'd seriously consider buying all new nuts and bolts for it at the hardware store. My HF ****** jack worked well after a hardware upgrade and some red loctite on a pesky set screw.

I have been looking at a variety of brands of dollies like this on the internet, though haven't found any in person. I have a rather unique (or maybe not so unique) problem. I have a jeep with 37X12" BFGK tires. I really need to have something like dollies, but none of them seem to be big enough though I am not sure. I have called a couple of places, and they all say, well maybe. Does anyone know if there is a set large enough to fit large tires?
Sorry for the hijack.

Onemoretry, are you saying that you need a wider dolly? How wide would you need for those tires? I bought some US made pieces (they do not jack the vehicle up, you need to jack it up and rest it on the dollies, then the car can skate around) and as I recall they have a wide version. I can check if you'd like.

That would be great. I am worried about the width of the tire and the diameter as they are 37" tires, I am not sure they would fit on in either direction. I am not sure how to measure it correctly though. I have seen a couple of versions that claim a 13" width, but I am worried that given the tire diameter they won't work.
Hope that makes sense.
Thanks
