Hf compressor auto drain

I picked up a hf auto drain kit carrier I'm tired of doing it, so I must be an idiot cause I can't figure it out. Where does the t go, says between the pressure switch and tank, but I don't think I have a place for it there, plus when it drains does it just blow or the side hole in the valve? Can I install a hose and let it drain where I want it to

It must go on the bottom of the tank to drain any accumulated water. High up on the tank will just drain air. How have you been draining the tank previously?

The drain valve goes in the bottom but the pressure line goes from it to the limit switch n such, that’s my problem

The directions are typical Chinese ****. You may have to do some improvising with the small switching line. I did mine with a “T” and compression fittings from the hardware store. You gotta splice into that line and the stuff they give you is pretty poor quality. I had trouble with the plastic line so just did it right in copper and compression fitting so for a few bucks. It does work fine though. Just took some modification.

In my pic, is it the line that goes from the switch to the compressor? It’s about the same size but it says from switch to tank , that’s what I don’t understand

Did you install a line for it to drain or does it just spray out the side hole

I don't have that kit, but I have an electrically activated valve that I can open on the bottom of my tank at the flip of a switch.

You'll want to put a hose to it and run the hose outside... or you'll have a huge splatter of water under the tank any time it opens. It's also pretty loud when it happens. And if there's rust, now you'll have a rust stain on your floor.

I just hit the switch once before I close up for the evening, it holds the valve open for a few seconds. I suppose you could wire it up to the electrical motor so that it kicks on every time it cycles... but that's probably a bit much.

From the best I can come up with is to use the unloader line, the line that runs back up to the compressor valves
