if any of you guys have one of these small compressors, I would like to know how many minutes it takes to fill the tank, from completely empty. I will be using this only for airing up truck tires (to 35psi) and blowing dust and dirt around the shop on off a mountain bike. Of course, I did ask the guys at HF, and ...you know...

Yea, I'm thinking of just grabbing a little compressor myself. I sold my 80 gallon one (just didn't use it enough), but could use something small for filling up tires, etc.. The cig/ lighter plug in compressors are too slow.

I've got one of these compressors and I'll say you get what you pay for. I bought it to blow up kids pool toys and bike tires so that I didn't have to turn on the 80 gallon compressor (or worse yet....do it by hand the old fashioned way). It works fine for that stuff and probably works well for brad nailers. If you are wanting something to blow dust around the shop and such, I think you will be disappointed. They just don't flow enough air. My neighbor borrowed mine to air up his truck tire and he told me he had to stop and let the tank fill once during the process. Still only took him 10 minutes, but certainly not as quick as a large compressor. I've never measured, but mine takes a while to charge up the PSI. I would buy it again (or a similar one). I have seen them at other places for around $59. Can't remember if it was TSC, Sears or HD.

I bought it to keep in my RV, and keep my porter cable 6 gal pancake in the garage. Took forever to top of my 245/70-19.5 tires to 85#. Just no volume at those pressures, @35-45 would be better, but not much! Took it back and got the 21 gal. model for the garage and left the pancake in the RV.

you'll be letting it recharge a few times to fill automotive tires. Worthless for blowing off anything more than small objects.

I have a CH the same size. I only use it for airbrushing. It cycles on and off alot. It doesn't seam to keep up with anything else.

Get a bigger one. I now have a 26 gallon compressor and am shopping for a 60 gallon one...
