anyone got a current coupon for the Pittsburgh pro 1/2" drive torque wrench, on sale for $11.99? Just broke the head off my old Craftsman! Thanks.

I am looking for an in store coupon. That one appears to be for on line only.

Uh no, write that number down on paper and hand it to the cashier.

You can do that with any of those coupons.

Yeah you can also show them the coupon on your smart phone. I'd price out a Tekton torque wrench -- not much more $$ and it's made better. I think I paid $22 for my Tekton torque wrench. They sell Tekton at the local Family, Farm & Home stores and elsewhere.

A torque wrench is not a tool you wanna go frugal on. IMHO. Or else there could be bad consequences like messing up the engine/component, having to re-do the job, etc..

Is this what you mean by a bad consequence?

Wow, yep. :) Or even worse, you torque down some head bolts on an engine, get it back together, and then the head gasket fails because the torque wrench's torque readings were wrong.

seriously? that was assembly torque and not used as breaker bar?

wtf how is that even possible? :headscrat

I've had this Craftsman torque wrench for over 20 years, used for lug nut tightening only- never over 100 ft lbs. In over 50 years of using tools, its the only tool I have broken. Seriously. I have a HF 24" break bar for everything else- it is still in 1 piece.
