Grandpa has been in the Hospital so i havent had much time in the Shop but i did get a chance to run out there today to button up a few projects. While i was there i snapped some pictures of some 2 year old HF Deadblows. These hammers have been Used fairly Hard, Dead of Winter, Summer and everything in between.

Had to dig a couple out of the Trash bin just for Portraits.

They have a lifetime warranty--don't throw them away!

I dont have the Receipt..

Limited Lifetime Warranty on Hand Tools
Harbor Freight Tools Co. makes every effort to assure that our products meet high quality and durability standards and warrants to the original purchaser that this product is free from defects in material and workmanship for the life of the product. This warranty does not apply to damage due (directly or indirectly) to misuse, abuse, negligence, accidents, repairs, alterations outside our facilities or to lack of maintenance. We shall in no event be liable for death, injuries to persons or property or for incidental, contingent, special or consequential damages arising from the use of our product. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
To take advantage of this warranty, the product or part must be returned to us with transportation charges prepaid. Proof of purchase date, and an explanation of the complaint must accompany the merchandise.

The Chances of them saying that damage isnt because of Abuse or Misuse is Slim to None.

No way. I've never known them to give anybody a hard time about an exchange. I'd bet dollars to dimes they give you a new one--at least, I know they would if you had the receipt. 50/50 without.

I was in the Columbia, MO store the other day (Picking up some Shop towels) and there was a guy in front of me trying to exchange a Ratchet and they asked him for a receipt. The Gentleman became slightly Irate and the Store manager ending up exchanging the Ratchet for him but told him that he needed to keep his receipts for future Warranty claims. I could probably get them warranted if i wanted to push hard enough, I bought the replacements for less than $20 bucks.

If they insist on a receipt--you've got one now (for the new ones). In six months nobody will know the difference.

There's a lifetime warranty, it's not like you'd be doing anything dishonest.
