That's for continuous use right? If you used it on a littler compressor and ran it at like 50% duty cycle you could probably get by with less? I was thinking of getting one since I have no impact gun and it's cheap and well reviewed, but my little compressor only does 4.5CFM @ 90 PSI.

CFM's on Impact Wrenches are meaningless as they estimate it's duty cycle...

If you had the trigger pulled for a full minute sberry's figure is closer to the mark,
But you can happily used a giant impact wrench with a pancake compressor if
you dont mind it recharging after every bolt.

It's only continuous use tools like air sanders & polishers that you need to be
aware if your compressor can handle them.

Basically... Buy the most powerful impact wrench you can afford or justify and
plug it in... it'll likely remove 8-10 lug nuts before the motor kicks in... even on
a 15-20 gallon compressor.

The cheaper impacts and air tools in general aren't as efficient as the more expensive units.
Just FYI, all the specs should be in the manual on their site.

The HF Earthquake can handle most lugs and bolts without struggling and yes it is an air beast at 100% use but really, how often are you going to need to pull the trigger for more than a few seconds? Get it and don't regret it.

Well, because of the Sunex rebate I ended up getting their SX231P gun instead of the HF Earthquaker. With 15% off and a 25$ rebate it was a no brainer as long as this thing doesn't totally ****. I'd almost be tempted though to pickup the EQ anyhow to do like a shoot out between them as value impact offerings.

That sounds like a fun little experiment, let us know if you actually plan to do this.:spit:
