I have a 30+ year old CH 1/2 inch impact that has served me well enough for years. Sunday I pulled it apart to see why it had so little power. No unusual wear, just not up to the tasks I had taken on lately. Namely, replacing motor mounts on my daughter's car. The last joker who installed them must have held an impact on them for a few minutes each.
That being the preamble I started coveting, even more, the HF earthquake 1/2 impact which has received good reviews here. Quite by chance I searched on earthquake on Craigs List. Amazingly, there was one listed, just posted, as lightly used, along with some other stuff. Full sets of Pittsburgh SAE regular and deep, full sets of Pittsburgh metric regular and deep and a set of 5 impact extensions. Only one socket and one extension look like they have been used, and not much at that. All for $65. Woohoo!
