HF Engine Stand Drip Pan

I recently purchased an HF engine stand so I could work on a small block V8 and I can't seem to find any drip pans for the HF engine stands. I can only find drip pans for the T and I engine stands. does anyone know if they make drip pans for the HF engine stands and where I could purchase one?

What is different about the stand that a "normal" drip pan wont work ??

i use a cookie sheet that i got at a resturant supply , it was cheap like five dollars

If you can’t find one and can’t find a large cookie sheet....maybe use the plastic tubs that go beneath HVAC systems.

I purchased on from autozone that just fits between the casters.

The auto parts stores have metal drip pans that are about 24"x36".

Put one under the stand instead of having to have one that sits on the bottom legs of it.

This is the right answer for all drip pans, and for covering your bench when rebuilding transmissions or carbs, or taking apart anything that has a tends to dump fluids. Small sheets and pans are also really handy for keeping parts organized and keeping screws from rolling away.

The big commerical pans are the best and you can get them from the supply companies, or from an auction if you are lucky. Smaller pans can be found very cheaply at yard sales.

I have a dozen at home, and insisted on new ones from the restaurant supply store when we were speccing a new teardown bench at the new shop at work.

I used to use one of those on top of the legs, with a few 2" flat circle type speaker magnets underneath keeping it in place.

Now I have a heavy moulded plastic one designed to fit in place.

I use a plastic tub for mixing concrete on my HF engine stand. Works perfectly and needs no supports or extras to hold it in position. It holds plenty of fluid for the whoops moments.

I toss all my used towels in there and then wipe it with them after I'm all done to get a majority of the fluid out.
