HF Fortress - Change coupler ?

Hello all,
I purchased the 2 gallon Fortress air compressor for use in my race trailer.
I'd like to change over the couplers to match my other tools, which is Milton type A.
Issue - the couplers are tight as heck, and Im afraid that it will twist and crack the pipe/manifold.

Has anyone swapped them successfully?

Not surprising they are tight. My 2 gallon holds full pressure always until the next time I use it.

Make an adaptor?
