I am considering a Harbor Freight full bank tool cart mostly for the smaller footprint it will occupy in my garage. I don't anticipate rolling it around very much if at all and I notice that all 4 castors are swivel with a brake on each. The 5 drawer isn't quite large enough for the planned application of storing what I'm going to make my son get rid of when I eventually pass...

My question is does HF make a wheel kit to switch 2 of the 4 wheels to fixed (non swivel castors, as new and empty would be the time to do it.

In the event that I desire to move it for whatever reason, I would think 4 swivels would be like walking a drunk out from the bar at closing time..or Is there another fix for this?

I have the Full Bank and I would say it moves fine, especially with some weight in it. I had to move mine recently when I replaced my garage doors, and it was no problem.

4 swivels let you roll it straight back into a narrow slot by the wall instead of needing a wider space to push in the fixed end and then turn it. Handy in the shop too, easy to turn around or position wherever it needs to be.

I have a HF full bank and a Matco cart, both are 4 wheel steer. The HF tracks fairly straight but the Matco is about 45 degrees off. Both go where I point them, just the Matco goes 1/2 sideways. The Matco is loaded much heavier though. Not a big deal to roll either one since they aren't nearly as big as a double or triple bank box. Just make sure the drawers are closed and latched and go for it. Neither of them is a race car, you aren't going to take it out for a run even if the wheels are set up like a shopping cart.

We have a couple 5 drawer carts for some special tooling. 4 wheel steer is much handier moving between benches and toolboxes and parts carts for projects than the 2 wheel.
