Got stuck going to Harbor Freight today and after coming home and taking a Silkwood shower I thought I would post the upcomoing deals on some of the things people on here are interesed in.

Once again this January the MC lift table is below $300 and the 25% off coupon can be applied. This is how I borrowed one from HF last year.

The 44" will be $359 with no coupon required.

I wrecked the part of the ad with the 20 ton press so i don't have a pic, but it will be right at $160 before 25% coupon.

Sorry pics are jacked up. Dates for sale are Jan 9-11.

Are there any uses for the lift for anyone without a motorcycle?

Lawnmower work table? Adjustable height work table? Bicycle work table? Mobility scooter customization table? Help loading dead mother-in-law into trunk without witnesses?

I agree with nine4gmc

You never know when you've got to load the mother in law into the trunk.

I use a kobalt version for working on the lawn mower. Getting up and down makes me dizzy from the bp meds. Being able to work off the floor is nice.

Are you all sure we can use the 25% coupon?

yes. if you go to hf website and add it to cart and use the 25% off it applies it just fine. so it should work at the local hf or if you want to order it online.

Btw damn it. I have been thinking about getting one of those motorcycle lifts but i just don't think i need it. But for that price....i'm trying hard to resist.

Like I posted, I had it for a while and it was decent enough for home use. It takes about 25 pumps to get it to full height and once it is up you definately want to put the rod through and release the jack. Just before I got rid of it I used to hold a 1950 FL and a 1979 FLH at opposing ends. The loading ramp works well but it doesnt stay attached like the pics show when the unit is raised, it also jams on the floor when lowering and falls off. The wheel chock is allright but if you put some 1x6 or 2x4 that are about 18" long on each side of wheel you are much better off. The wheel chock is tightened with a knob that can be taken off and a 16mm (I think) wrench can be used on the square end to tighten.

The location of the hoops for the tie down straps wasnt the best for me, but are easily relocated with a drill. The casters could be a little better and the easiest way to move it is in the raised position with or without a bike on it. If you are going to have a bike on it for a while make sure you remove the pump lever and the release lever, you can actually hear them laugh at you when you come around and catch your ankle on them. The only complaint was the red finish. It is highly reflective making it hard to find smaller screws or washers and the finish does not hold up well to solvents, and purple power chewed right through it to bare metal. I ended up scuffing the hell out of the red and throwing down some left over Rhino Liner. It does take up some floor space, but when not in use just park a bike on it and problem solved.

I just double checked my receipts and in January 2014 there was a charge for $235 at HF so I know i used the coupon. I HATE HF and have never said or written a good thing about them, but for the $225 and being in a bit of a jam at the time it was worth it.

Oh, and the poker table mod I mentioned, was just a sheet of 4x8 painted green with some scrap 1x2 attached to the bottom so it didnt slide. Chairs fit at it perfectly and the over hang of the board was enough so that feet didnt hit the lift itself.

MC lift table I got on pretty much the same sale with 25% coupon like 2-3 years ago. Has served me very well. Only complain is the tie downs, I added like 8 "eye" bolts to it, evenly spaced. And the wheel chock isn't the best, I took it off and put on the gray one that the front flips up to hold the wheel. Works well for me.

I always take the ramp off the back as soon as I put a bike on.

Always use the pin, don't trust any pump jack. I almost always put it in the lowest spot, shove the bar through, and then let the table down onto it.

I have the motorcycle lift as well, for the price I really like it. I fabricated some different style pieces to the tire clamp, sort of an "L" shape piece on each side out of some rectangle stock. works much better that way. My FIL has the expensive air over hydraulic lift like you see on the tv shows, it has side wings for a quad but I don't think this would lift a quad unless it was pretty small...

The nice thing about the HF version is it is nice and narrow and takes up much less space than those larger more expensive versions...

Was there a different coupon for the ITC or additional discount? That's a GREAT deal! Worth signing up for ITC just for that one purchase.

Yeah but it's $299 today, only $5 more

Really? The neighbor has missed mine since i got rid of it and he was going next month. He may be going today, thanks.

EDIT. Nevermind, the 299 price for today is already a coupon price the 25% wont work on top of it.

somebody on here has one they modified with wings to use with a quad. i'm considering one to do the same with a golf cart. also good for working on mowers or snowblowers, ect.

I know this thread is becoming a bit dated, but as the 24th approaches I am seeing numerous references to this thread from elsewheres and thought it would do well to post the following reflections here....

1) the 44 inch top tool chest, that is currently available "on sale" for about $289.99, is going to be available for $279.99 from Jan 6th thru 19th. It appears there is no coupon code, its a "warehouse liquidation sale" listed on ad inserts in my shipments coming in from them presently. Personally I am not impressed... meaning I wish they'd throw us a bone for a good deal on that thing already.
Best I've seen on the roller (bottom) is $359.99, with no better deal in sight just yet.

2) I find it interesting the praise the HF motorcycle floor jack gets here at GJ. Until I came to GJ most of what I have read on reviews of the HF motorcycle jacks (2 of 'em), and even the craftsman red and black one (not the older one, the one they're doing in recent years) has encouraged me to simply save my money for something else. I have read a lot of instances of the HF jacks failing, both on the 2 major HD and the xl, and several other biker forum /s (including some various vtwin and chopper forums) as well as reports "out in the wild". There's just too many reports of failures "due to shoddy materials workmanship" for me to go there. This includes the craptsman one as well. My vote = stay as far away as you can from those.

My point there is...I encourage anyone considering one of the HF motorcycle jacks to carefully research "all over" before deciding. While I am glad to hear anyone here, or even at the biker forums, having a good experience - and there are lots of happy reports, the negative reports out ther in general seem to me to be greater.

Just sharing my experience in conducting lengthy discovery ('bout a year and half I've been dogging this) on this with fellow members here. (I may be new here, but I am an old(er) biker.

Best of luck to all.

The item in the thread is the MC lift table, not the jack. At the $225 it will end up being with the coupon, if you pay attention and make sure you use release the load using the rod it is worth. Anything over $225, not so much.

Thanks, pks, for the clarification per this particular item. I have had my eye on it, but warily. (I missed it being the focus of discussion earlier as its not specifically on my radar at present, and I am having some hair o' the dog right now ;^)... and all I could think was "NO, Don't Recommend HF LIFTS!!) ...kind of thing.

I have seen a number of folks post about experiencing failure with this item as well, but not near like the other products I mentioned. It did sound even more scary to me (freaking hell to pay if my bike came down off a table like that - someone would be paying in blood). It seems you may have heard about failure experiences too (without hunting your prior posts down) from the way you commented.

I find your post encouraging, thanks. ...I am going to keep an open mind about this one and look into it again in January when, hopefully, some better deals are re-emerging.

Cheers,

That thing aint got enough *** to lift my pigazz mo-in law. Byatch won't fit in the trunk anyway unless you have a pre 1973 Caddy........w/ a towing package.......and air shocks.

I was afraid of that. I'd love to have the MC lift for $225ish.

Really? Well I guess I didn't scour the ad good enough, sorry about that. Well like I said at $225 it was ok, at $300 you are on your own.
