One of the guys in the car forum I visit came up with this, great idea I think. Pittsburg transmission jack with a modified creeper mounted on it.

That is really neat. That looks totally doable and it would be easy to modify further or fix if issues became apparent after using it a while. I have lots of ideas now running through my head for other similar ways to do this same thing that might work a little better for my particular situation. Thanks for the post Danglerb:thumbup:

There was a video posted (youtube link) a few days ago, some guy invented a fully automated version, up, down, I can't remember the name of the post.

This one is more up, less down, fully manual, and maybe $100 plus it still works fine with the creeper off as transmission jack.

That is too cool. I am thinking that I might need to be building a little project.

Cool. For people who have a lift but miss that creeper experience :)

I'm thinking jobs where you are working in the same rough area for 5 or 10 minutes, splicing wires or testing some item. Detailing wheels maybe.

I for one will buy one for my self bad knees have taken a lot of the fun out of working in the shop. Ithink this will make the investment I all ready made in my tools welders toolboxs more useable. I'd be instred in investing just to help us old geasers have some more fun.

Holy ****, finally a use for that worthless trans jack I've had dormant for the last 10 yrs. Since buying my lift, I've never broke it out once.

La-Z-Boy is in the first production run. Options available are gliding, rocking, and swivel motions, tool tray, heat, massage, and high leg reclining. Finishes available are leather and fabric, with or without fringe.

Rumor is they plan to expand the production line into sectionals and loveseats if sales warrant. The entire family will be able to spend a wonderful evening underneath the family Porsche.

It'a a good thing it doesn't clear the floor by more than a couple of feet.

I'd hate to trust my life to two harbor freight products cobbled together.

That said, if this thing magically appeared in my shop I would use the hell out of it. I've always wanted to fall asleep while welding in a muffler and wake up on fire.

Certainly looks comfortable yet I can see getting much work done in that position unless it a simple job wiring or changing brakes where you could be in the same spot for a while
