Thanks but no thanks. My gripes about Icon remain the same. They hardly carry any Icon stuff at my closest store so I’d have to drive like 30 miles to the next HF so I don’t even get to see most of the stuff. It isn’t what I’d consider a good value. I like the finish they use on these but why skip 24mm?

So many choices for sets with better sizes branded and unbranded at more and less the price point with proven in use ability and design points favour most requirements it really doesn't warrant wasting time looking at HF for too long .

Why would you pay $70 for impact sockets? My $20 set work just the same. For the looks? The name? That's not something I look for in tools. Function

As a professional 70bucks is nothing for a set of impacts, paid a lot more than that for MAC set and have since found better effort taiwan ones around 50bucks that hold up better and nicer design .

Meh the skips are still omnipresent

For $120, I got the Sunex set that doesn't include that skip (has 23mm, 24mm, 26mm, 27mm and 30mm) and has deep and regular sockets.

I don't know enough about sockets to say what the differences are - do yours have radiused corners? Etched and stamped size markings? I'm sure there are other differences (mass, metal, whatever) possible, but there's no doubt that a lot of the least-expensive options are fine for most non-professionals.
