So why doesn't HF offer all the sizes in 1/2" impact? Why do they offer the 16mm in shallow but not deep?

I've been yelling at my son for 3 months now to bring back the 16mm he borrowed. :lol_hitti

I look at my socket racks and there's a 16mm shallow, so there should be a deep, correct?? :D

They skip around on several or the deeps.
And why don't they sell individual sockets for replacing lost sockets? Not that something like that would ever happen to me.

My first set of impacts were Stanley deeps from Walmart. Cr-V stuff, but held up incredibly well. I had to buy a 15mm and an 18mm because the metric set didn't have those. :headscrat

A lot of stuff skips sizes, but when they skip commonly used sizes, that just seems odd. I could almost understand it if they sold singles, as a jerk sales move, but, they don't.

Yea, the skips annoy me, too.

But then, for the money, to just buy singles to fill it out, you are still coming out ahead.

I use them in my portable set; my shop set will have GearWrench impact sockets.

I have the HF shallows but I got the 14 piece GearWrench deep set for just this reason. They're hardly even more expensive when you consider you're getting 4 more sockets than the HF set.
