HF Inside Track membership problem?

Bought the HF Inside Track membership last March; I only got one set of Inside Track coupons since then, and when I went back to the store to purchase some stuff, they said it had 'expired (?)' . . . the same day I had purchased it, in March! When I tried to go further there at the store, the manager told me it wasn't a problem, was just a delay, and railroaded me out after I bought my items.

I just tried to register at the HF site, and it keeps saying invalid Inside Track membership; anyone else been having this difficulty with them? I'm so confused. Going to try and find a number to call during the week.

if you still have the receipt when you purchased it, call them up. Either it's good for a year or they owe you a refund and you re-sign up. simple. You should be able to get them to make it a year from the date when you call, they'll probably also send you a bunch of extra coupons (post them here if so) or a decent gift card.

They make mistakes sometimes same as every place else. I have found its easiest for them to own it and fix it if you call them instead of deal with some of the store managers.

Usually you get a separate insert for the monthly ads featuring different prices, not always lower. You also get early bird access to the sidewalk/parking lot sales which can be nice if they have something special that is likely to sell out fast.

Weekly ads also come out and those tend to be probably the better ones.

HF pricing is tricky- you can have the same item on sale at the store, online, with a weekly coupon, monthly coupon and Inside Track coupon, all at different prices. The Inside Track coupon is not always the best price, so it's worth checking out all that is available and bringing them with you.

The one place many people tend to overlook (except here on GJ, of course!) are the magazine coupons. Those are good for several months and have some of the better pricing that I've seen. But who remembers their copy of Family Handyman or HotRod magazine to the store? It's worth making the effort.

Reader's Digest also has the HF coupons. The 20% off coupon is usually good for three months.

I just got the email version of the HF Inside Track coupons! But when I try to validate the membership data on the HF site, it still says 'Invalid membership.' Weird!

Call the 1-800 number and get customer service. They fixed mine in about 5 minutes. The store had entered my zip code wrong. You need your ITC number and zip. The guy gave me the zip they used so I could access the coupons until they got my correct zip in. It was the next day, and all was good. HTH, Ryan
