For me they were worth the twenty dollars. I also used a twenty per cent coupon. I replaced six double bulb fluorescent fixtures in my wood shop with six of these lights about two years ago. They have performed well and I have not had a problem. They are very bright.

I bought a cheap light from WalMart without realizing it was led. I'm impressed for the twenty bucks spent.

They come on instantly and do not flicker at all. They are bright white. Use the 20% coupon. I have 5 in my garage and plan to add 2 more.

I like the pull chain because I can turn them on or off individually. Only negative is they must be plugged into separate outlets. You can't daisy chain them to each other like some other brands.

There have been several other threads about these, but yeah, they're damn awesome, very bright, nice color temperature, and cheap. What's not to love?

I bought one, saw that it put out more light than the giant fluorescent it replaced, then went back and bought two more and got rid of my other fluorescents.

Plus, if you're working on something long and accidentally poke the light, you won't get a shower of tiny glass shards and horrible chemicals. Guess how I learned this...

As mentioned, the only downside to the HF version is that you can't plug one into the next. There are other LED shop lights for similar money that have this feature if it's something you need.

I have two in my garage for over a year now. They get a lot of use. No problems to report. With the 20 % off coupon they were a very good deal.

I have 8 of the double bulb row type in my pole barn: some from HF; and some Rural King. Both work great. I even added some of the wireless on/off switches to the ones near electrical outlets. It is great because they are hanging from 10' ceiling joists, so no need for a long string/chain hanging down.

I have a few of those. They're smaller in all dimensions than a 4' shop light. For me, that reduced size has come in handy. Mine are BRIGHT, come on instantly, and have no flicker. The light quality is excellent. Well worth the $20.

Not HF but I had these double bulb LEDs recently replace existing 40w 2 bulb fluorescents. They are way brighter with 18 watts.

It may make no difference to you but I have a friend who is an amateur radio operator. He installed the HF LED shop lights and says they're super quiet. No RF noise to speak of. He loves 'em.

I've had mine for a week or so, so I can't speak on longevity but they are definitely super bright and no flickering. They are also much lighter than normal 2 bulbs units because there is no ballast so they are easy to hang.

It sounds like you've got plenty of feedback already but I bought a couple of these thinking if they were worth a darn, I would come back and get a couple more for my small shop. One I got them installed and turned on, I realized I only needed the 2. They are crazy bright. LED's are just super efficient. Buy with confidence.

IIRC, a few folks have reported problems with their garage door openers from various other lights. Good to hear these don't cause interference.

And yeah, the fact that they're smaller and lighter than roughly equal fluorescent lights can be a big advantage.
