are the noise specs meaningful? air compressors, car audio amps, cordless tools, shop vacs all have specs, but when there isn't a standard, the specs can be pretty meaningless.
While I wouldn't rely on the published decibels of knockoff brands without hearing them, no doubt the Honda is within their published specs. We run a Honda EU7000 in our field camps and wow, it's quieter than the suitcase Honda 2200. Stellar generator.

I wouldn't crawl under a vehicle supported by something that had a 0.01% failure rate, times four.
My point was not about the failure rate, (if there was even one).

HF perceived there might be a problem with the manufacturing of jack stand models, within a certain serial number range. They issued a voluntary recall. If a customer had jack stands with the affected s/n, return them for replacements.

It really should have been that simple, but as we all know, it was the exact opposite. People were losing their minds with outrage - and they didn't even own any HF jack stands. People made phony YT "test" videos "look, it doesn't hold" as they laterally kicked their ****** utility trailer.

It's just the world we live today - a world of meme-driven hysteria. I have and still use a pair of the unaffected models. Hey if they fall and squash me, I'm sure I'll be sorely missed here.

Then I assume you never crawl under a vehicle for any reason?

I would lay odds that there are more two post lift failures per year than jackstands, by a large margin.

Hell, the here are exponentially more tire failures than jackstand failures, so I guess crawling under on simply sitting on the ground is a no-go.

So ironic that I see this thread. We just got back from picking up my son from BCT. We took the camper down to Columbus, GA stopping for an overnight on the way.
My honda inverter gen crapped out at the tail end of the summer and I hadn't replaced it so I needed a gen RIGHT NOW last weekend. HF didn't have anything in stock close by but Amazon could deliver that exact champion to the house next day.

It does carry the load it says it will. I load banked it out of the box so there weren't any surprises on the road. It is surprisingly quiet. Like have a conversation next to it at full load quiet. It is not great on fuel though, using about twice what the honda did (price/cost ratio)
How long it'll last remains to be seen but if I get 4 10+ hour runs out of it I'll call it a win.

You ever go to the hospital? You've got a larger than 0.04% chance they accidentally kill you.
Bad safety stands are reasonably avoidable. Hospitals, no - at least if you really need one.

Then I assume you never crawl under a vehicle for any reason?
I do. And I don't use cheap jackstands. My 0.01% number was a joke, derived from the 99.99% "HF hysterea" number thrown out by @zendriver.

This was funny math; the two don't necessarily correlate.
