I went to HF for to have a look yesterday to see if any of their "black friday" stuff piqued my interest. I looked at that Yukon cabinet pretty closely. Its interesting. The metal shelving inside seemed pretty sturdy for what it was.

It would be a really nice welding platform if it had a metal top and bigger storage compartments inside.

For the most part, I didn't see a reason to buy it over a regular rolling tool box with pull out drawers, especially when Home Depot has their 46" tool box on sale for $200....

It sparked my curiosity also and I just went and looked at it and it is nice a bit on the narrow side but in a tight garage it might be very handy.

To those who have seen the Yukon box IRL:
What can you tell me about the shelves in the lower section?
Are they fixed?
Do they slide out?
Are they adjustable to different heights?

I checked the specs on the box and its the same exact size as the full drawer one they sell.

Thinking out loud, if one were to get one of each (on sale of course) and bolted them back to back the combination of drawers and cabinet space would lend itself well for a decent size ( 36" x 44" +/-) work table/station for not more then maybe $550.00 out the door.

The shelves do not slide out. They're sheet metal shelves, but felt pretty decent. At least as good as any entry-level metal garage cabinet. Really not too much room to put stuff in the shelves IMO, you have like 20" of room inside the cabinet part.

The shelves are adjustable, but not that many options for them. There are some little shelf-oragnizer things in the doors that looked pretty handy as well. Nice big top drawer was very nice for a HF unit, rated for 200 lbs.

Same size as the other 9 drawer 46" toolboxes at HF and Home Depot.

Agreed on the Husky. I have one of that better features ones with smooth drawers, but I bought the Milwaukee version at the same time. Very happy with the Milwaukee, not so much with the Husky.

In fact, the Milwaukee is on sale for $498 and I’m tempted to replace the Husky after only 6 months. I don’t use it often, but the difference just bugs me. That said, the layout of drawers in the Husky suited my needs a bit better. I just wish the drawers were as smooth to work with. I the cold, they seem to get worse
