I’ll ask it before someone else does...

The part number for the original Series 1 boxes? Will slides be available?

This is great news, but I hope they can expedite shipping better than their regular on line orders. Everything I have ever ordered has taken about 3 weeks to just leave their loading dock.

Glad to see this. They even have rebuild kits for the $129 Spectrum spray guns and the $200 Black Widow guns. The lack of a rebuild kit for these has steered me away from those (bought a Sharpe FX3000 recently instead) If I did buy a gun from HF, I’d probably order a rebuild kit or 2 just to keep on hand.

Do they stop supporting a product with parts if they discontinue it?

Took this announcement from the new December HF catalog I picked up today. Seems HF is going big on replacement parts.

Web site for parts: www.HarborFreight.com/parts

:lol_hitti I'll take that with a grain of salt... bought an electric hoist trying to call them for parts that was missing... and was told they don't stock parts for that hoist... sorry you are out of luck go return for refund...

OTOH, it does seems like they are monitoring forums ... I remember this was a frequent complain and legitimate complain too, as recent as a week ago... one of the HF short comings on their tools....

I am not up to speed on the "Series" but back on 3/26/12 I purchased slides for my 13 drawer box and the part number was:
13605-VGA Draw Slide 1 Pk For #90320 Roll Cab 13-drawers - Red

They were $9.99 at the time.

If I recall "1 Pk" was two slides, one drawer's worth. I had purchased slides so that I could move drawers between the bottom roll cabinet and the top cabinet. I posted pictures of that conversion somewhere on this forum. Had to modify the latches to work.

I assume my cabinets are Series 1 as I was an early adopter when they came out and you could use the 20% coupon stacked on top of the sales prices.

"dedicated engineers"...is that a hard job?

Hey Ken, why don't you call China up and tell to use the same colors as Snap-On.

I actually got through to customer service last week for a replacement key on a series 1 seven drawer side cabinet. Lost key and it's locked.

They don't sell a replacement for it and if they did they still wouldn't sell just a key. They'll sell a lock and key set. And they will NOT match the code for you. Great.

Was at hf a month or so ago and saw the new Icon boxes. Clerk said they had a couple marked down in back because they didn't have keys.

So hf can't even get keys from hf. Or if they're dirty dogging maybe the boxes are messed up and they chucked the keys to pretend that's all they need. Just my experience.

Interesting, I was just looking to see if I could get new drawer liners for my box. They got messed up in a move. Wonder if they will be available now?

I have two coffee cans full of keys! I buy them at garage sales and estate sales. Bought several locked toolboxes and have sat there going through the keys one by one. Haven't been denied entry yet!

Edit: sorry, forgot to quote the missing key post above.

Reading the last paragraph, looks like more replacement parts are coming in addition to those already available. So I'll reserve any criticism.

You are seriously complaining about that? I have yet to find a manufacturer that would sell you a key based on a code, even weatherguard wouldn't and the box is registered in my name.

Just go to a locksmith with the code and see if they can cut a key, I've had that done a couple times. If they can't cut a key, just drill the lock.

I've never had anyone not send a key. Snap-On, Mac...
