Went and grabbed a Phillips screwdriver yesterday while replacing the batteries on my son's RC car. At first I didn't understand why it wasn't working, then a quick check told me the whole story ;)

Seems like someone wasn't paying attention 😂

HF will exchange it. There's a fair chance that the HF associate will even see why the screwdriver is defective. Or maybe it's worth ONE MILLION DOLLARS on ebay. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!

I store my screwdrivers flat in the toolbox, so I don't even look at the ends. Though if you have them stored upright it'd be of use to glance at the rear.

LOL It's a collector's item.

OP can you post a whole pic of the flat head and the marking ? pretty sure you can take a pic of that easily.. you almost did it with the flat head and pitsburg... so pretty sure you can take it with the flat head and #0x3" marking and even the + at the end of the screw driver.

Ok here is the thing...

Pic one shows the handle without the tip marking of #0x3"

pic two shows the handle with the marking of the end and the #0x3" but without the tip...

Pic shows the tip with the handle but no marking of #0x3" instead pitsburg....

hmmmmmmm It's a Comedy

Unfortunately the screwdriver made its way back to HF this morning. I exchanged it for a correct one without any issues.

Sorry I didn't take a whole picture of it.

Every company has their flukes. I had a Mac allen socket marked 8mm and it was a 10 mm

I have a long craftsman flathead from a set, well supposed to be flathead, that never had the blade formed.
I always say some day I'm going to buy a good screw driver set but just use an m12 whenever possible.

Still probably a more effective phillips than the cheap craftsman WF drivers sears used to sell that were made out of butter :).

We bought a set of those t-handle hex key wrenches with the valve adjustment tool several years ago. It was supposed to come with 7/32 and 3/16 t-handles. The handles were marked correctly with the two different sizes, but the hex keys were the same size. When we called the company they didn’t believe us, and wouldn’t send us the correct replacement. I think I eventually threw the mislabeled one away.

The 11-year old was substituting for the 12 year old who was out on maternity leave. Don't worry, she has a younger brother who will fill in for her if she can't make it. He's fully trained; already understands the difference between - and +
