Hey guys , I have a h/f retractable hose real right now running off my air compressor and I love it .

I'm thinking of setting one up for water , my only concerning is . Will I lose a lot of pressure since its just a 3/8 " hose ?

Anyone running one for water ?

Yes, you need a different reel. I am going to get one this winter, have been putting it off and hanging a hose on the wall but its just an ocd thing, I rarely use it. The main reason I want one is fire protection.

I really don't care about retractor, I have 3 or so but wouldn't relace thwe manuals with them. About the only place I would really like one is on my steamer (pressure washer) as the reel is in the building with hose thru the wall.

I like a 100 ft reel with 50 ft of hose

Yes but what are you going to use it for?
If you just need a little water to fill or top off stuff then it should be fine.
If you need to have some water pressure, not so good

I have city water pressure , wondering of its enough to do a basic car wash with the 3/8 hose ...
