HF Sand blaster

Thought I would share my experience with the 110# sandblaster that I just bought from HF. I was a little apprehensive from reading negative coments about the unit but I have found it to be fairly trouble free. I am using a fine play sand purchased from Lowes hardware for about $3.50 a 50# bag that I sift through a piece of window screen. I use a respirator and a dust hood. Definately use the biggest compressor avcailable. It has worked great in stripping the paint off of the old Walker jack that I am refinishing. I have found it to be true that the dust will get every where on your person. Be sure to blow yourself off before entering the house or you will be sleeping in the garage when the wife notices sand everywhere that you have walked.

Yikes man, careful with that play sand. Unless you're using a forced air respirator from a fresh air source, you are inevitably inhaling some of that silica (even with your respirator).

Please consider using coal slag (very inexpensive at TSC, etc). Cuts really nice too.
