32 Also, which size would be good for at home general use? The 20lb is on sale, jsut how much blasting can be done time wise?

I have the 40 lb unit. It's definitely good for the hobbyist at a few hours use a yr but not for pro use w/o upgrading everything but the tank. It holds much more than 40 lbs of sand, maybe 80 lbs. For very occasional use the one I have is ok but it needs the typical attention to detail most big HF items need- and a few items changed (hose clamps) immediately.

keep in mind a pressure blaster needs a LOT of air. You will not get much done with the typical Home Depot "5 hp" (2.5-3 HP) air compressor that draws 15A running as you really need 15+ CFM.

Got the 40lb model and holy ****, no idea how I lived without one. I'm putting a Dana 60 into the front of my 89 F250, and there is a LOT of rust involved.
Picked up some 80 grit garnet (Al oxide) and blasted today...WOW, easy!

I will add one of the HF parts was not tapped properly, but I've come to expect some additional "improvements" from HF stuff.

Big thumbs up so far. Oh yeah, I've got an 80 and 30 gallon compressor in tandem, plenty of air so that helps.

I have the 40lb one also and sand blasted my entire challenger with it. Worked great.

Used it again on the old rusty *** F250 plowtruck project.......freaking love it!

If you have thought about it, buy it! Makes me wonder how good a US made one would work!

I bought one of the 40 lb ones on sale years ago. It works great. Did my whole nova chassis and bunch of other tables etc.

Only problem is that you need to keep the air line dry. Mine kept clogging up so i'd have to tear it apart and get the wet sand out of it to keep going. But I live in Oklahoma where it is pretty humid.

I also only have a 6 HP, 20 gallon Air comp and it worked fine.

Buy it, just keep the line dry.

I have the 40lb unit also, but the rubber hose has dry rotted on me and I cannot find a replacement hose similar to the one that came with it.
Any ideas?
