HF Series 2 done-gone

Apparently I've procrastinated too long, have I?
I was heading out this morning for 2 of the 22x44 lower cabinets that were shown available online. No dice.
Small parts storage is what I'm looking for and the price (online) showed the orange and yellow $100 less than a more traditional color @ $299. I bought a series 2 5 drawer roll around and for the price/build quality, I'm 100% satisfied.
All I see on YouTube (series 3) is the huge tool condominiums with an available "hutch" for $700.
All that's fine for a all day mechanic with his life saving left at work in a dealership garage. Not my situation.
I guess what I'm asking besides is series 2 done, will there be a similar replacement chest at a similar price?

You were seeing those prices on the series 2 boxes because they're clearing them out to make room for the series 3 boxes. You're not likely to encounter similar prices on a similar caliber box for a while. The series 3 boxes are too new for a major coupon to knock 20% or so off the price, though I'm sure it will happen eventually. You can save 10% off this weekend (15% with an ITC membership) but that's still going to be taken off the full price of the new boxes.

If you're open to it, you might find some good Craigslist deals on the series 2 boxes as people either sell off their series 2 stuff or flip some they got on clearance.

I stumbled online on the series 2 in store only at HF, stopped at 3 different HF stores during my 185 mile travels today. And nothing within 100 miles I was told when they looked them up. I even said color doesn’t matter for $249
Anyone have any suggestions where I can find one? I prefer not to have deep drawers as that only means you have to pile things on top of each other.

On their website they show a 44 X 22 with 13 drawers In store only. I would be good with that size.

Yes, I have been looking at multiple stores and none have any left in stock. I was told they will not be getting any more since it has been discontinued.

I did score a floor model series 2 upper and lower but it's the narrow 26" width. It was only
$338 with tax.
Nothing about the series 3 strikes me as an improvement, and the full width drawer release is even cheesier than the single release of the ser.2.
