Anyone using the little hazard freight bandsaw? Thoughts? Anything similar size that's better?

Mom Berry has gotten into making doll houses and I need something compact that can handle the small stuff. Nothing intense here... literally cutting jenga blocks popsicle sticks, 1/4 luan ply... dowels.
Mom's 71, don't trust her to not slice fngers off so I'll be running it as needed. Caught her looking at scroll saws & aviation snips... no bueno! Figure a little bandsaw should do 95% of what she asks without extra hassle on my end.
That thing up to the task? Should hold up to light occasional Use? Or is it a POS to avoid? I saw Lowes has a similar Porter Cable model...
