I have a HF tire inflator set up for presta valves on mountain /road bikes and the gage was never even close to working correctly. I found a digital gage on Zoro with a 1/8npt thread and measured what I could on the HF POS. I thought 1/8"npt was it. I wrapped the new gage with some Teflon tape and went to thread it in, but it fell into the threaded hole. The old gage (now that it's out) measures .430" at the bigger end of the taper. The 1/8"npt measures .400". Is the HF a BPT or something? Is there an adapter? Thanks.

Metric tapered pipe threads are usually BSPT (British Standard Pipe Tapered). Adapters are readily available.
