HF tool box and tool questions

I'm looking to take a trip to HF this weekend, I have a bunch of questions about the boxes. First, are the 56" and the 44" boxes the same other than size? Like same quality? second, how do I get them as cheap as possible? I know HF is always sending coupons but I was recently told the 20% off coupons don't work on the boxes.. is there a way around this? Third, do they come with GOOD drawer liners? if not I'll cut some out of yoga mats (they are great for toolbox liners). and last, do the side cabinets work on any rolling box they offer? I want a 7 drawer side cabinet.. Oh and one more thing, if I remember correctly when comparing them to Snap on they have miniscule load ratings (per drawer and as a whole).. If I put my Snap on 26" top box on top (~300lbs?) will in bend it and wreck the castors?.. I know their are some HF experts on here so anyone willing to share their knowledge is greatly appreciated.

is it any good? it looks identical to the OTC borrowed from school a few months ago but that kit was like $100. are HF's specialty tools good.. probably not but if you own them tell me about your experience with them.

Getting them as cheap as possible will most likely be using a magazine coupon, the 40" are around $350 with them other than a display box or dented box which would be even cheaper. I feel the liners are great, they do not move and hold tools in place for the most part. I have had screw drivers roll around but never a wrench or socket placed on end.

I read on another post that they can be had for $189. and this was a recent post, the one where a guy gets a $200 HF gift card from his boss for his birthday and asks what to spend it on. Allot of people say to get this box for $189. I'm trying to figure out how to get it that cheap.

Galaxies is 100% right. Getting one for $189 is a pipe dream.

To the OP, take a look at the Lisle Power Steering Pulley kit. I seem to remember paying around $70 for mine locally, but that was probably 7-8 years ago. It is a quality piece.

I hung the side box on my 56". I also fixed the latch problem by putting small plastic cubes cut from a socket rack in them. Just hold them open far enough for the latch to open smooth and insert the plastic underneath and it holds them open. A couple of the drawers opened by themselves after that. A quick 1/4 shim under both front wheels and the drawers work like a regular box.

Yes.

Biggest current problem is finding gloss red side boxes to match the now current run of gloss red 41"/42"/44" (same roll cab but HF keeps fudging the dimension spec,'s.) cabinets.

Roll cabs switched to gloss red many months ago. Side boxes are still old style krinkle coat non-matching maroon unless the new stock has arrived.

yes I believe so.. I was wondering the same thing the other day and I've seen the same side boxes on both the 44 and 56 inch so I think they are for either one.
