The red, five drawer tool cart just went on sale at HF for 169.00....my question is, can you use the 20% off coupon with the sale price?? If so, that puts the price down to 135.00 before tax! Wow, I might just buy two:)

Where did you see the price? The online price is still $199, and I have a $159.99 coupon that cannot be used with any other coupons, so unless you saw it in person at a HF store, at that price and read the fine print to ensure that the coupons can be used (I doubt that they can) , then the $159.99 coupon is the best deal by a penny over the $199 std. price less teh 20% coupon.

I know there is a big 4th of July sale, so check the fine print if actual box is shown at that price and scans at $169, and then ask the store mgr, if the coupon can be applied.

I have a flyer that I received yesterday in the mail with the 169.00 price. The front of the flyer says: 350 super sale coupons+ 20% off coupon. Am I reading this as being able to apply the 20% off coupon to the sale price of 169.00??

This is the tool cart, not a tool cabinet. You have always been able to use the coupon for toll carts, but not tool cabinets.

Correct. You can use the 20% off on tool carts, but you can no longer combine it with a second coupon. So if the cart is $169 in the ad and not a coupon, then you can use the 20% clip coupon.

If the $169 is a coupon (as in it will have teh dashed cut-out lines around it), then no 20% off. The details should be listed right below the cart picture in any ad since HF has been cracking down on double-dipping.

Any more it's coupons cannot be used with any other offer or discount (meaning doubling up coupons), cannot be used on prior purchase over 30 days, limit one coupon per customer per day and usually there is a limit on no. of said items that can be purchased.

I bought the same one about a month ago. Make sure you leave all the bolts (and there are a bunch) loose until you are all the way through the build and then tighten from the bottom up. I was short a couple bolts but other than that it went together great. I took the US General name tag off and put a SnapOn sticker on it. Looks ok to me.

I just bought one of these this week with the coupon. I had to kick and scream for them to run it but they did and I got the 20% off of 199. I would just go do that deal and not have to worry about 4th of July BS.

It's on page 21 in my flyer received today and is marked as a Super Coupon at $169.99 limit of 5. I don't think they will accept the 20% off coupon against that price.

EDIT - fine print under tool cart says no other offers/coupons can be applied.

I bought one Memorial Day weekend. I printed out the $199 internet sale price flyer and asked if they would honer the 20% coupon. They said yes at first. Then the manager said no. I got mad and left. That night I decided $199 was still a good price. I went back the next day, went to the counter and asked to have a cart brought up, placed my coupon on the counter, and it rang up at $199 less the 20%. I was out the door for $160.
The manager saw me loading it up and said he was surprised to see me. I told him I had just purchased and used my coupon, no problem. He just shrugged and said he was told not to take the coupons on the carts............Go figure!

I agree. 169.00 is a good price for the cart. If I can't use the 20% off coupon, no biggie.

it's a good price but with a 4th of July 25% coupon off you could get it for $150, now to get someone to post a printable 25% off coupon.

The coupons being accepted are not the decision of the manager. Their system accepts or denies coupons based on the item being scanned. I had a manager tell me they would not work on carts but the cashier scanned it and i got the 20% off. Pretty sad when a customer knows more about store discount policy than a manager.

That's a nice cart, I just bought the black four door for $119 this week, they're surprisingly nice for HF stuff.
