Yeah I have it. It's quite a bit better than the old version. Better spread and brightness. I like the end cap design. Fairly versatile for hanging / sticking it places.

I may get one for the truck portable kit as wouldn't be used much but useful when do need it plus cheapenough not worry on loss/theft .
Only 2 things I don't like is the led tube length as like see it 6 to 8" longer in lighting and also think the 1800mah battery bit weak effort as been easy double that with 2 cells and light big enough to hold 2 cells .
For coupon deal it hard complain and likely possible strip it open for a cell upgrade.
Anyone know the cell type in this, is it 18650 ?
Reason I ask is specs sem bit off, 1800mah low unless it ni-mh and like 7.2V which see on some of these underhood lights.

I bought one and love it. Works awesome with my four post lift, long enough to reach both sides, super bright and end cap design allows multiple light positions. Was awesome in a recent power failure. Stands vertical on its end cap providing tons of light.

Check out the Neiko for an upgrade over the hf lights.. the new hf models at this price is a decent buy, much better than the old ones.. the Neiko comes with a clamping bar, more output, and longer runtimes. Made a little better too.. but expect to pay about $70 -$80 for the Neiko... Both Neiko lights I have are just great...

So can someone describe the brightness difference between the two HF lights. Is like the new one twice as bright as the old one or maybe a 3rd brighter? :headscrat: Quite honestly the original really really ***** for light output so it's not going to take much to be an improvement

(other than that its pretty decently built and designed light bar for so being so cheap)

Are you talking about the long underhood light with the magnetic endcaps? Huh, it's still showing as 37.99 here.

I just bought one a couple weeks ago with a $29.99 coupon. So far I think it's been awesome. The end caps are very versatile with the magnets and the fold out hooks. I never had the old version so I can't comment on the difference in light but the Braun is bright enough to light up an engine bay like it should. I like that it came with an AC charger as well as a DC charger and I can use it while it's charging. All in all I'm happy with it

I bought one a while back, I'm not sure if it's the old one or the new one, lol. I think it might be the old one since I bought it cheap off the clearance rack. I haven't got to use it as an actual under-hood light yet. Mostly I stood it upright and used it while working in wheelwells.

That, and the obligatory act of holding it like a lightsaber.

The small ones are less than 40 bucks. So you like yours ?

I just picked one up yesterday with a $29.99 coupon. Was looking to get the slim light too, but they were out of stock.

This was at the HF on Hooper Ave in Brick, NJ
