HF Vulcan Arc Safe Helmet... coupons... alternates

Like many here (based on reading threads) I started my welding 'career' (read: occasional auto restoration work) with a cheap but workable HF "blue lightening" helmet. Approx six years later the nonreplacable battery has expired and I'm looking for something a bit nicer. Based on how often I weld, not in the Speedglas price bracket.

I like what I read about the Vulcan Arc Safe but it irks me to pay $150 when I see $119 coupons occasionally. It is immune from the standard 20% off. Is there some sort of HF coupon notification system?

Or does anyone have another recommendation in the $100-150 range?

The most recent coupon for that welding helmet @ $119.99 expired 08/31. Might have to wait for a new one to pop up.

im about 99% sure that the vulcan hood is a lincoln viking with a different sticker on it.

I've not run a Lincoln Viking before. I use this hood daily at least two or three hours a day sometimes 8-18. Its been a good hood and the only think I miss about the previous hood which this one replaced was the grind mode selector outside of the hood. For Posterity purposes I'm a field fabricator and diesel mechanic in the mining industry. Aside from these last two HF hoods I've got a really nice Miller in the shop and previous to that all were non auto fibermetal brand for years and years before this.
