I'm John and I have stuff. Lots of it. And I know I've found the right forum with like-minded folk. Ok, so some of the stuff is the wife's and/or kids' stuff, but I have my fair share. Fortunately the stuff has a 36x36 abode (we won't get into the fact that the house also has an attached garage and basement that are also full of stuff).

I found this site while researching the purchase of a car lift several months ago, and in the process I decided a scissor lift would work well for my needs. A circa-1993 Canadian-made Hydra-Lift lift happened to show up in the local Craigslist a couple months ago, so it is now residing among all my other stuff (lousy photo below).

As you can see from the lift photo, I have some work to do before things are organized. But I am making progress. It's been 8 years getting messy, so it will take some time to get it tidy.

Great forum here, and great people, lots of cool garage/car/anvil photos. What more can I ask for.

John

1957: if your handle is the year you were born then i'm all of a year older than you. or do tell why you put that # as your handle? my wife and i were just in your area this weekend and we really like it over there, but for now we live near Seatac. great looking garage, good attitude and sounds like you have some good STUFF too.

i've started an Organizing 201 thread where you might get a few helpful ideas and if you need help around here just ask because we are a helpful bunch that is for certain.

Stuff is good - are the MG and the Plymouth both yours?

Yep, both cars are permanent residents. '49 MG has a cooling issue, carbs need rebuild, and the car needs to be reassembled/painted. '66 Sport Fury is a 383/4-speed that needs rust repair among other things.

You're right. And thanks for the link. I've been reading through a bunch of those threads getting good ideas.

Thanks all for the welcome.
